Her entire life, Emily Brannon watched her mom grade papers, prepare lesson plans, and change the lives of students, and for as long as she can remember, Emily has wanted to be a teacher. Emily grew up in Greer, South Carolina, graduating from Greer High School in 2010. She then went on to North Greenville University, where she majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Music. In addition, Emily has worked at Dillard’s Ice Cream Parlor since 2006. Emily enjoys music and traveling, both of which carry over into the classroom. Emily has a passion for integrating the arts into all subject areas, and believes this is crucial in the classroom today. Furthermore, she loves to teach students about the places she has visited, including 93 National Parks and Historic Sites. Emily finds much joy in creating real life connections to what a student is studying in his or her history book. In her spare time, Emily loves to bake, read, and spend time with friends and family.
